Misconceptions Unveiled

When we talk about Biblical forgiveness, it is an action, it is not about emotion. When we forgive we are most like our Lord and Savior. It is more than just letting something roll off your back, or some words that you speak in self righteousness, it is an action. Truly forgiving others is so powerful, not only in our spiritual worthy walk, but also in the lives of others around us. Forgiveness is not something that we should try and rationalize as if we are still living

The theology of forgiveness has been around since the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve sinned, they repented to God (after some blame gaming), and He forgave them. He made clothes for them with His own hands to cover them, a symbol of the covering of sin. Although they had consequences for their sin, which effected everyone else to come in the world, they were forgiven. God's plan of redemption was not a reaction to our sins, it was planned all along. Unfortunately there is an epidemic in our churches today, at least here in the South. I am sure this is an issue all over. Church is not a business, Church is a place where believers gather to worship the Lord, to be instructed by the Pastor, to fellowship with other believers, to encourage each other to in the Lord, to spread the Light of Christ in our communities.
